Acoustic & Electric Cellist - Arranger - Vocalist
Georgina Hamilton is a classically-trained cellist based in London and the West Midlands. She has been studying the cello for over a decade having studied on a scholarship at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama between 2019-2023. She studied with Sandy Bartai, of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and has also had the fortune of studying with Tim Hugh, Rosie Biss and Anne Copery.
Georgina is an orchestral, function & session musician - keeping a busy schedule performing on studio records, video, as well as on stage with artists and bands. Her ability spans a wide range of styles including (but not limited to) folk, improvisation, dance and Eastern traditional. Classical highlights include: making her concerto debut aged 21 with Elgar's E minor concerto for Cardiff Chamber Orchestra, performing in concert alongside Tasmin Little, Abel Selaocoe and Lawrence Power. Georgina has performed at several iconic venues including TROXY, Metropolis Studios, and performed in Kuwait to the British and Kuwaiti Embassies (sponsored by Jaguar and Bentley).
When Georgina isn't performing, she is working full-time as US Development Manager for the Academy of St Martin in the Fields orchestra, and thoroughly enjoys playing a supporting role in the successes of the ensemble, including having co-lead the relaunch of their student/under-30's scheme, 'Front Row'.
